PANDIANADU BUYERS SNAP VISHAL'S POOJAI

It is known that Vishal is busy with Poojai which is being directed Hari. Now the latest is that Vendhar Movies who early distributed Vishal's Pandiandu has bought the Tamil Nadu distribution rights of the film.
Poojai is currently being produced by Vishal Film Factory, Vishal has also produced Pandianadu last year and  Naan Sigappu Manithan which was released on April 2014.
Poojai has Vishal, Shruthi Haasan, Satyaraj, Radhika and many to its star cast. Slated for a Diwali release, Poojai will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

LINGAA AUDIO LAUNCH ON DIWALI, FILM ON SUPERSTAR'S BIRTHDAY ?

Superstar's Lingaa is progressing at a brisk pace. After Mysore and Hyderabad schedules, Lingaa team is planning to shoot the rest of indoor talkie portions at a set in Chennai.
Soon after the Chennai schedule, Lingaa team will be shooting the climax in Shimoga Karnataka where a huge dam set will be constructed. As reported earlier, dam will be an important element in Lingaa and the climax will be shot there.
Lingaa team is planning to release the film on Superstar's birthday ie., 12-12-2014, now the buzz is that the audio launch of Lingaa will be happening on Diwali.
Lingaa has Rajinikanth, Anushka, Sonakshi, Santhanam, Karunakaran and many to its star cast. Directed by KS Ravikumar, the film will have music by AR Rahman.

PODAA PODI'S DIRECTOR IN AWE OF ANIRUDH

Anirudh's Chancey Illa, a single which was released a few days ago is making his fans go crazy. The video was directed by Vignesh Sivan, who earlier directed Podaa Podi. Vignesh had also made an appearance in Dhanush's blockbuster VIP.
In a recent press release, the director has expressed that he proud and honoured to work with Anirudh. Vignesh feels that Anirudh is a phenomenal wonder, as his popularity among the youth is seen and heard to be believed. "The evidence of his growing popularity was evident when the crowd went into raptures when he performed a few dancing steps." he exclaimed. Vignesh has also penned the lyrics for Chancey Illa, apart from directing it.
He added that his next film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhan' will have music by Anirudh, which he feels is the highlight of the movie. It has Gautham Karthik and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead roles. The film is produced by Gautham Menon, under his Photon Kathas banner.

VIJAY, AJITH OR KARTHI IN MOONDRU MUGAM REMAKE

Kathiresan is in all smiles thanks to his recent success Jigarthanda which has got additional 30 screens in Tamil Nadu. Now the latest is that he has bagged the remake rights of Supertar Rajinikanth's Moondru Mugam which was a blockbuster in 1980's.
Though Kathiresan says he is yet to approach any actor or director, Moondru Mugam is a mass film and hence he wants Vijay, Ajith or Karthi to essay the role. Moondru Mugam had Rajini in three different roles viz., Alex Pandian, Arun and John. Among the three roles, Alex Pandian role in flashback is still famous among many and many have said in past that no one can reprise Alex Pandian's role.
It has to be remembered that Ajith has already remade Rajini's Billa, Karthi is used to keep Rajini's titles like Naan Mahan Alla and Alex Pandian to his film while Vijay is a big fan of Rajinikanth himself.

SRIDEVI TAKES RAJINI'S PLACE

If reports have to be believed, actress Sridevi has taken the place of Superstar  Rajinikanth. Hard to believe no? Yes, but the actress has wowed the people of Japan with her English Vinglish and  the movie has amassed $420,000 at the Japanese box office.
It has to be noted that Superstar Rajinikanth enjoys huge fan following in Japan and his movies are huge hits there. Now, with Sridevi, making an impact there with her movie, it is said that soon Sridevi will capture Rajini’s place in Japan.

NO SRILANKAN CONNECTION IN KATHTHI, DIRECTORS' UNION HEAD CLARIFIES

There is a controversy surrounding around Vijay's Kaththi and some group saying that the film's one of the producer, Lyca is a supporter of Rajapakshe. In a process to clarify all the rumors, AR Murugadoss and the producers have met Tamil activists to explain the real truth.
Now the latest is that, Directors' unions head Vikraman has clarified about Kaththi issue in a recent media interaction. Vikraman has said that the news floating around Vijay's Kaththi is completely false.
Suriya Vamsam director added "Ayngaran Karuna used to distribute Tamil films in overseas and he has also produced many movies, his partner is also a Tamilian and rest of the news are not true".

AN AJITH OF TRISHA'S LIKING IN THALA 55

It is known that both Trisha and Ajith are acting together in Thala 55 which is being directed by Gautham Menon. In a recent media interaction, Trisha has said "Thala 55 is an action thriller but her portions with Ajith will be intense and more romantic". Trisha describes her Thala55 shooting experience by saying  "Ajith looks so cool and reminds her of Kireedam days".
Speaking about Ajith's role, Trisha says "All these years we have seen Ajith in commercial mass films but his role in Thala 55 will be completely different which I love to see".
Trisha and Ajith are currently shooting for a romantic song composed by Harris Jayaraj.
