THALA AND THALAIVAR IMPRESS THEIR FILM UNITS!

Not just in big screen, Rajini and Ajith share common characteristics in real life too. The duo are down to earth and never used their huge fan base for their own needs, now the latest is that both Thala 55 team and Lingaa team are in praise for Thala and Thalaivar respectively.
While shooting for Lingaa at Hyderabad, many film fraternities and fans visited Superstar. Though many top stars are reluctant in meeting  people at shooting spots, Rajini is said to have greeted every one with his trademark smile and even posed with his fans. Also, it is said that Rajini hardly used the caravan and spent most of his time with unit members.
Similar to Rajini, Ajith is said to be very patient at Thala55 shooting spot. As major portions for the film is shot during mid-night and early morning, Ajith has to work at unusual time but he gave 100% co-operation to the team. Ajith has to drive a small Maruthi car in the film for chasing sequences and many cameras were fixed in the car to capture his expressions, despite the tough ambiance, Thala never complaint about this to anyone and completed those chase sequences in style.
Thala also spend his entire shoot with unit members and never used his caravan, the unit members are highly impressed with Ajith's simplicity. Ajith has also never left the shooting spot before director asked him to leave.

GOSSIPS DECIDE THE MARKET VALUE OF AN ACTOR - SIVAKARTHIKEYAN

Music director Ramesh Vinayagam is a talented musician and his music in films like Nala Thamayanthi, Azhagiya Theeyey and the recent Ramanujan are favorite among many. Recently Ramesh Vinayagam's new music album Mosakkutty got released and film fraternities like Prabhu Solomon, Bharathiraja and Sivakarthikeyan made their presence.
Speaking at the function Sivakarthikeyan jovially said that the hero of Mosakkutty should attain a growth such that his name should appear in gossip columns. Sivakarthikeyan said "Today gossips decide the market value of an actor, if our name is missing in gossip columns then there is no market for us".
Cinematographer Sukumar trying his best to show me beautiful in my films like Maan Karate and Taana too. I came to this function for Sukumar, said Sivakarthikeyan at the function.
It has to be noted that Mosakutty's director Jeevan is cinematographer Sukumar's brother.

KATHTHI IS GETTING SHARP ENOUGH TO TEAR THE SILVER SCREENS

In a recent interaction to a Tamil daily, actor Sathish has shared his experience in working with Vijay for AR Murugadoss's Kaththi. Sathish says "Kaththi is getting sharp enough to tear the silver screens for this Diwali". "Acting in AR Murugadoss's film is a dream for any actor and sharing screen space with Vijay in a comedy role is again a dream, now both these dreams became true for me", said Sathish to the daily.
Sathish says his role in Kaththi is not just limited as a comedian and working with a star like Vijay will obviously bring out the best from him. Sathish says that he can't forget the shooting days with Ilaiyathalapathy, unlike the common perception on the actor, Sathish says Vijay is not a moody person and he is very much jovial on the sets of Kaththi.
Sathish says Vijay never ordered him to act like the way he wants, instead he will suggest his opinion to the Maan Karate actor. The Ethir Neechal actor calls Thalapathy as the best when comes to quickly adapting to the story and describes it by saying "Vijay used to have have casual conversation with everyone but once the camera gets rolling, his performance will be top notch".

TROUBLE BREWING FOR KARTHI'S MADRAS

If reports have to be believed, the upcoming movie Madras starring Karthi might get into trouble. M Bala Subramaniam (Balu), producer of the movie, Karuppar Nagaram has come out with a statement that the film’s story is a direct copy of his movie.  The movie started in the year 2010 was directed by Nataraj Gopi and by the year 2011 the movie is said to be over 60 % complete. The film has Akhil and Arundhathi in the lead.
The producer has alleged that he had advertised the stills of Karuppar Nagaram in the newspapers then and the recently released stills of Madras are the same as that of his film. He alleged that the entire cast and crew of the film including Ravi Mariya and Anand Babu, knew the story of the film. Balu alleged that he was shocked to see the stills and scenes from Madras as it resembled his Karuppar Nagaram movie. He stated that he has complained of it with the Producers Council and if he does not get justice he will move the Court. This news has created a huge furore in the market.
Madras is produced by Studio Green and is expected to release in August.

NAYAN'S FILM IS HOLLYWOOD BOUND

Nayanthara's Nee Enge En Anbe is a remake of the Hindi sleeper hit, Kahaani. The original version had Vidya Balan in the lead and opened to rave reviews worldwide.
The news flowing in is that this film is now Hollywood bound. The official remake will be titled 'Deity' and will be helmed by Niels Arden Oplev of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' fame. The film will be based in Kolkata, and is all set to kickstart its production next February.
A true honour for Indian Cinema, we say!

IT'S CONFIRMED, PARTHIEPAN IN SURIYA'S MASSS

During Anjaan's audio release, Parthiepan hinted that he will be acting in Suriya's next film but there was a doubt whether he is acting Venkat Prabhu's Masss or some other film. Now the actor/director himself has confirmed that he is playing a significant role in the film and he is looking forward to it because for the first time he will be acting along with Suriya.
Masss has Suriya, Nayanthara, Amy Jackson, Premgi Amaren and many to its star cast. Produced by Studio Green, the film will have music by Yuvan, cinematography by RD Rajsekar and editing by Praveen KL .
Touted to be a film which is targeted on kids, Venkat Prabhu has already kick started the film's shoot.

SATHURANGA VETTAI GOES TO HINDI AND TELUGU

Thirrupathi brothers' recent release Sathuranga Vettai is getting superb positive reviews from the media and the reception in Tamil Nadu box office is  equally good. Now the latest is that the talks are on for remaking the film in Telugu and Hindi languages with top heroes playing the lead role.
Sources say Thirrupathi brothers are planning to produce the Hindi version on their own and Vinoth who directed the original might direct the Bollywood version too. The Telugu rights might be sold to some other production house and a leading young hero might reprise Natraj's role.

SONY MUSIC SNAPS UTTAMA VILLAIN AND ANEGAN!

Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain audio rights has been sold to Sony Music. Sony Music are always known for grabbing good quality music albums and now after buying Ghibran's Amara Kaaviyam they have also snapped his next big project Uttama Villain. Other than Uttama Villain, they have also snapped Dhanush's big budget movie Anegan which has music composed by Harris Jayaraj.
Sony Music already having promising lineups including Ai, Kaaviya Thalaivan , Irumbu Kuthirai, now they have also snapped Kamal's Uttama Villain and Dhanush's Anegan.
Uttama Villain audio is likely to be released in the month of September.

AJITH IS CHARMING, VIJAY IS FUN LOVING AND SURIYA IS INTENSE - VIDYUT

Vidyut Jamwal is having a huge craze in Kollywood, thanks to his tall and handsome look, also his combinations with three top actors viz., with Ajith in Billa2, with Vijay in Thuppakki and now he has completed the shooting with Suriya in Anjaan.
In an interview to a daily Vidyut said  he is lucky to work with all these top actors and different these three with his description. Vidyut says " Ajith as Charming, Vijay is fun-loving while Suriya is intense".
Vidyut Jamwal's next film in Tamil ie., Anjaan will be releasing on August 15.

HARRIS COMPOSES A ROMANTIC TRACK FOR AJITH AND TRISHA

Harris's music for Gautham Menon's films are always special, whenever the duo join hands there will be a novel and classy factor in their films. Now, nearly after five years the duo joined hands for Ajith's 55th film and the expectations are sky rocketing.
The latest update about Thala55 album is that Harris has recorded a romantic track which will be filmed on Ajith and Trisha in the film. Written by Gautham-Harris's favorite lyricist Thamarai, Karthik has sung the song.
Additionaly specialty about Thala55 album is that, for the first time Harris is composing music for a Ajith film. "Recorded a romantic track featuring Mr.Ajith and Trisha for Gautham's film. Karthick voice sounded young as ever in Thamarai's words" tweeted Harris Jayaraj.

HAPPY B'DAY TO THE STAR ACTOR SURIYA

When Suriya debuted in Neruku Ner(1997), no one in the industry would've ever imagined that he will be one of the top three stars and one of the top three actors of Tamil cinema. Right now, no one can deny the above said fact, thanks to Suriya's strong position in the industry.
Though Suriya has given hits with films like Nandha, Unnai Ninaithu and Friends(with Vijay), till 2002, he is known as the son of famous actor Sivakumar but after Gautham Menon's Kaka Kaka, things got changed and from then on there is no looking back for Suriya. 
After Kaka Kaka, Suriya has made it clear that either his films should rule the box office or his characters in those films should be strong. Films like Aayutha Ezhuthu and Pithamagan gave him a different color while films like Ghajini, Varanam Ayiram and Ayan made him as an star actor, to be precise his market value got expanded with every given film.
Right after Ghajini, both the fan base and market value of Suriya got increased. After Rajini and Kamal, Suriya is the only Tamil actor who is having market in Andhra Pradesh.
Suriya's fan base and market in Kerala is also amazing, he stands next to Vijay in Kerala while his market in Karnataka is almost equal to Vijay and Ajith. Though Vijay and Ajith are having the tremendous opening power, Suriya's films are having  consistent collections, even the third and fourth week collections for a Suriya film is consistent said a trade person. Trade people say that Suriya is having strong family audience for his films and the recent Singam2 had tremendous run even its third/fourth week.
Suriya is having this fine balance between commercial and quality cinema, he can make mass masala films like Vel, Aaru, Singam and Singam2 at the same time quality commerical films like Ayan and Ghajini are also possible for him.
Now Suriya is waiting for his new release Anjaan which is creating huge buzz in the trade circle. Cinemalead wishing the actor a super successful year ahead and all the success for his future endeavors.

KATHTHI AUDIO AND TRAILER RELEASE PLANS ...

After the blockbuster 'Thuppakki', now Vijay and AR Murugadoss have joined together for Kaththi. As of now the team has completed the major portions of the film and the entire shoot will be completed by August end.
Recently there were reports that the audio of the film will be releasing on September, again few have said that the audio release date will be advanced to August. Now  Ayngaran, one of the producers of Kaththi have officially announced that the film's audio and trailer will be releasing on September.
Reports suggest that the audio launch will be happening on London but then an official confirmation is yet to arrive. Stay tuned for more updates...

GV PRAKASH REPLACES YUVAN IN KOMBAN

It is known that Karthi's next film after Madras is Komban and already the shooting has been commenced. Initially the team has  announced that Yuvan will be composing for the film but now GV Prakash has replaced Yuvan Shankar Raja and he himself has confirmed the news in Twitter.
Komban has Karthi, Lakshmi Menon and Muthiah who directed Sasikumar's Kuttipuli will be directing Komban while Velraj will be handling the cinematography. Produced by Studio Green, Komban has Rajkiran, Super Subarayan and many to its star cast.
Komban is said to be a rural subject like Karthi's debut film Paruthiveeran.

VENDHARMOVIES HIT A HAT-TRICK

Vendhar Movies has purchased the Kerala distribution rights of three films. They have bought KarthikSubburaj’s directorial Jiggarthanda starring Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon, Boologam starring Jayam Ravi and Trisha and also the Hari directorial Poojai starring Vishal and ShruthiHaasan. With the Onam festival season fast nearing, the three films are expected to ring in the much cash bells at the box office. 

SURIYA'S COLD GETS HIM AN UNIQUE VOICE

Suriya's song in 'Ek Do Theen Chaar' song is getting rave reception among fans and media people who have seen the visuals today. Speaking about the song Yuvan said " Every singer will get an unique voice during cold and sometimes it will help for the mood of the song, similarly when I asked Suriya to come for song recording he told me that he had cold on that day but I insisted him to come by saying that the session would be a rehearsal".
Yuvan added " Later within  two hours Suriya completed the song and I asked him to leave". When Suriya asked about the final recording session, Yuvan told him that he has already handed over the DAT copy to Sony Music. Earlier Yuvan listened to Suriya's singing in the Nescafe advertisement's jingles which is composed by singer Karthik and when Lingusamy suggested the idea he readily agreed.
Suriya said " Ek Do Theen Chaar song was initially sung by Yuvan but Lingusamy pushed me to sing and that's how my singing debut happened".

அஜித் இண்ட்ரோ பாடலில் சிம்பு!

சிம்பு தீவிரமான அஜித் ரசிகர் என்று அனைவருக்கும் தெரியும். இவர் எப்படியாவது அஜித்துடன் ஒரு படத்தில் சேர்ந்து நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்று முயற்சி செய்து வருகிறார்.

ஆனால் இன்று வரை இவர் ஆசை நிறைவேறவில்லை. சமீபத்தில் சிம்புவை கௌரவ தோற்றத்தில் நடிக்க அழைத்த கௌதம் மேனன், பின் அந்த எண்ணத்தையும் கைவிட்டார்.

தற்போது தல-55யில் இண்ட்ரோ பாடலில் சிம்புவும் வந்து நடனமாடுகிறார் என்று நெருங்கியவட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

NAYANTHARA VS TAAPSEE IN SIMBU FILM

We have reported that actress Taapsee did a cameo in Simbu’s upcoming movie Ithu Namma Aalu. The film directed by Pandiraj has Nayanthara as the heroine. There is an interesting episode behind Taapsee doing a cameo in the movie.
Taapsee is close with Simbu and when two of her friends got into a fight over her, it was Simbu who helped her settle the issue. Now when Simbu asked her to do the cameo she agreed but with one condition. She said that she would not share the screen with Nayanthara and hence will not do combination scenes. Taapsee’s grouse against Nayanthara is a little old. While Taapsee was doing several films in Telugu, in a media interaction the then leading heroine Nayanthara said that she does not even know who Taapsee was. This had embarrassed the heroine and    Taapsee has not forgotten the insult. Hence her decision not to do combo scenes!

DHANUSH SCORES IT FIRST AMONG AJTH, VIJAY AND RAJINI

The first half of 2014 had many big star films including Rajini's Kochadaiiyaan, Vijay's Jilla and Ajith's Veeram. Among the three, Kochadaiiyaan is not a hit due to its big budget while Veeram and Jilla failed to achieve hit status due to the the 30% entertainment tax.  When small films like Mundasupatti, Thegidi, Golisoda and Manjapai are becoming hits, Tamil Nadu trade circle needed a big hit from a top star.
Now Dhanush's VIP has grossed nearly 14 crores in Tamil Nadu box office and turning out to be the first big hit among big star movies. The trade is extremely happy with Velai Illa Pattadhari's performance, the film is also doing good business in overseas and breaking all the previous records of Dhanush.

Yes, Dhanush will be playing a cameo in Ranjhanna director Anand L Rai's next flick Tanu Weds Manu -2 which will have Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles, it has to be noted that the director's debut film is Tanu Weds Manu.
Word is that, after completing Tanu Weds Manu-2 Anand L Rai and Dhanush will joining together for a new film which is likely to be kick started by next year.  Stay tuned for more updates..

MADHAVAN'S NEXT MOVIE KICK STARTS, THE NEW BOXER IN TOWN

We had earlier reported you that Madhavan will be playing a boxer in his new film which is to be directed by Sudha of Dhrogi fame. Now the latest is that the shooting for the film has been kick started by yesterday and Madhavan himself has confirmed the same in his micro blogging site.
Tentatively titled as Iruthi Sutru in Tamil and Lal in Hindi, the film is said to be a story which is loosely based on famous boxer Mohammad Ali’s life. Madhavan has apparently lost 15 kilos for the film and he is said to have got trained for his role as a boxer.
Cinemalead wishing a great success to Madhavan and it is good to see him in a Tamil film.

சல்மான்கான் நடித்த ஜெய் கோ 126 கோடி ரூபாய் பட்ஜெட்டில் எடுக்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால் அந்தப் படம் தயாரிப்பாளருக்கு நிகர வசூலாக 26 கோடி ரூபாய் மட்டுமே வந்ததுள்ளதாகவும், 100 கோடி ரூபாய் நஷ்டம் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் கூறி அதுபற்றி இப்போது தீவிரமாக விவாதித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். படத்தின் தோல்வி பற்றி சல்மான்கான் கூறியிருப்பதாவது:

ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் ரவி.கே.சந்திரன் இயக்கி வரும் படம் யான். எல்ரெட் குமார் தயாரிக்கிறார். கடந்த ஒரு வருடத்திற்கு மேலாக தயாரிப்பில் இருக்கும் படம் முடிந்தபாடில்லை. இன்னும் இரண்டு பாடல் காட்சிகள் பாக்கி இருக்கிறது.
