Kangana Ranaut's Hindi film Queen released to both critical and
commercial appreciations this year. Kangana shut her critics down with
her performance, and Queen is all set for a Tamil and Telugu remake.
Thiyagarajan has bought the remake rights for the film, and has also
hinted that Nargis Fakhri will be playing the lead role.
Actress Samantha was asked to reprise Kangana's role in the film. But she denied to act in the project, the reason being as follows. Samantha says that if she tries to act differently in the remake, many will exclaim that she hasn't acted well. On the other hand, if she imitates Kangana's style in the remake, she says that everyone will accuse her of copying. Samantha felt that these comments will act against the performance of the film. Therefore, she decided to stay awake from the remake.
Samantha also added that she doesn't like being compared to other actresses in the industry, and therefore would not act in remake projects.
